Free Buddha Inside! - Out Today!

Pete's Levine's solo EP, Free Buddha Inside!, is out today on all digital platforms!

After Pete's passing, we were determined to find ways to preserve his legacy. Because this was the only music he recorded in a real recording studio, it was the obvious place to start. We reached out to Dan Kozak, a friend of Pete's who was heavily involved in the recording of the EP. And we caught Dan at an interesting time since he was in the process of digitizing several old recording sessions they had on tape at the studio. We followed up frequently, and, after two long years, we finally got Pete's files!

Next, we realized we needed to master the files. So we reached out to Cooper Anderson again. We knew that, if he could handle Birmingham Radio, he could do a number on these files! Cooper did a wonderful job. Finally, we were ready.

Pete played nearly everything on the album. The EP features "Orange Sunshine", "Glow", and "Bliss", three gentle songs written on Pete's famously cheap Gremlin acoustic guitar. But they are very much interrupted by the grunge classic, "Broken", which easily could have been a Corgan or Vedder track. Finally, the album closes with "We Are All One God", a psychedelic, a cappella song which is as simple as it is mysterious.

We haven't decided yet if we will manufacture CDs for this one. So be sure to let us know if you want one. We want to make sure there's enough demand.
